Targeted ads can be a great way to build customers and reach more people. 2014 marks big advancements in the world of targeted marketing. Are you ready for the latest trends on the horizon for this year? If not you might be missing out!
Prestige Marketing has created this infographic that details three of the targeted ad advancements that you should be aware of this year. The first trend is social recruitment. As you might expect, LinkedIn leads the pack with 94 percent of organizations putting it to work. However, don't overlook Facebook and Twitter! 65 percent of organizations use Facebook for recruitment, while 55 percent use Twitter! Finding the right talent will help your business run more efficiently and give you the skills needed to reach more customers.
What if there was a way to serve ads based upon a person's mood? Well that's coming soon to an ad platform near you! Apple has recently patented such a method to serve ads based on people's moods. How do they do this? They take a look at social posts, the videos an individual watches, the order they launch apps in and even offline information like heart rate and other biometrics!
Lastly, launched late last year there's Twitter's Tailored Audiences Program. This program allows advertisers to send out targeted ads based on user IDs and email addresses. Advertisiers are now able to better target those users most likely to be interested in their services or products, thus avoiding wasted impressions and getting more bang for their advertising buck!
Which of these advertizing trends will you be utilizing this year? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
