Young artists take note! It's time once again for the Doodle 4 Google contest! This year the theme is "If I Could Invent One Thing to Make the World a Better Place...". The winning young artist will have their artwork displayed on the Google search page and receive $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant for his or her school. Entries are due Thursday, March 20th!
Entering the contest is easy. Simply download an entry form, create your doodle and then send it on in to Google. Google has also provided a convenient timeline to reference as well as classroom activities. The classroom activities page provides lesson plans, videos and more for student, educators and parents.
The entries will be judged in 5 grade groups which range from kindergarten to high school. Entries will be judged by their artistic merit based on grade group, creativity and theme communication. Entries can be disqualified if they contain copyrighted material and there is only one entry per person allowed.
Spread the word, and tell a young artist in your life about this great opportunity today! If you are a young artist we'd love to see your entry! Tell us about it in the comments! Good luck to all who enter!
