12 people have been reported dead with 50 more injured when a lone gunman opened fire on a midnight showing of the Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, CO.    Police reports say the suspect threw a smoke bomb or gas bomb into the theater before opening fire on the crowd of movie goers.

One suspect is in custody as police continue to check for more clues.  The suspect was reportedly heavily armed and wearing a bullet proof vest. At this time police believe the suspect acted alone.

The Dark Knight Rises production team has also announced that they have cancelled their Paris Premiere that was scheduled to take place tonight.
