Today is the day Americans will vote for their elected officials, from President to local town level positions.  If you have visited Google today, you will have noticed an appropriately themed Google Doodle and a tool to let users find the times and locations of their local polling places.

Haven't decided yet on who to vote for yet? Check out this tool from Votesmart.org! Compare your personal views to those of your candidates and see who aligns most closely with them.  Doing your own research on the issues is always best, but if you are pressed for time this might be an alternative for you.

Are you one of the many people displaced by  Hurricane Sandy in NY and NJ?  You can find your polling place in a simple text!  In NY text “NYCVOTES” to 877877 or for Spanish speakers text “DONDE” to 877877. Alternatively you can call 1-855-NYS-SANDY (1-855-697-7263).  In NJ text text “WHERE” to 877877. You can also call (609) 292-3760.  NJ residents will also have the option to vote by e-mail.
