Become a Font Matchmaker with Type Connection

Choosing a font for your design can be one of the most difficult and time consuming parts of the design process. The right fonts can set the tone and take your design to new heights. The wrong fonts can leave your design looking flat, or worse. A designer can never have too many tools or techniques to find the perfect font. Finding the perfect fonts to work together is very similar to the age old practice of matchmaking. This has been duly noted by Type Connection, a fun and interactive way to find the perfect matches for typefaces.

Type Connection brings gamification to the process of selecting fonts. You start out with your font selection, and then you are offered different means of selection. Perhaps opposites attract? Stay within the family? Or Rely on the past! Whatever strategy you use will display a different selection of fonts. Once you've selected your second font you are shown the differences and similarities about your font selections, as well as phrases written in various forms of the fonts you have chosen. From bold to italic you get to see how the fonts line up. If you are satisfied with your selections then the fun part! Send your fonts on a date!

If you haven't chosen well you are greeted with a brief explanation explaining why your choices were not the best option and you are given the ability to go back and try again. If you select correctly you are greeted with a success screen and information about the fonts you have chosen including why they work so well together. Your fonts will live happily ever after.
