Don't be alarmed YouTube users, Google has rolled out the new One Channel layout to all users. They made their announcement yesterday, June 5th.

According to Google, they expect channels to gain more subscribers, get more visits, and allow brand personality to take the spotlight with the new design.  There are new recommended images guidelines, so it's time to update those images.  New images should be 2560 px by 1440 px.

The new layout also leaves space for a trailer or a brief video introducing your channel.  So if you don't already have a trailer time to get cracking (or maybe if you do have one, it's time for an upgrade)!  It's a perfect opportunity to introduce potential fans to your brand and what your channel is all about.

Additionally your YouTube page will link with your Google+ page.  Again, now is the perfect time to go over your Google+ Page and make sure all of the information in your profile is up to date and images are looking good. Check out this video by Google to meet the new One Channel Layout.
