Savvy marketers know that using social media can benefit their brand.  They also realize that not all social networks are created equal for this purpose.  Each social network has it's own set of advantages and disadvantages.  This infographic from  TopWebDesignSchools.org takes a look at the social networks marketers prefer.

As you might expect, a whopping 92% of marketers use Facebook. As one of the largest social networks around Facebook's audience is a huge draw.  49% of marketers say that Facebook is their most important social network.  The reason why they use social media might surprise you.  Sales? Nope, that's the last reason why they use it. The main reason marketers use social media is to increase their brand recognition and exposure.

Where does the future lie for social networking?  According to projections  YouTube's growth will continue to climb. YouTube is projected to grow another 69%, followed closely by Facebook and blogging at 66%.  Check out all of the stats in the infographic below.
